The movie shows the journey of an IT professional (Sachin Khedekar) from his workaholic stage where he always craves for more, to a stage where he is satisfied and content and living the present.  Superstar Shahrukh Khan has read and appreciated the script of writer-director Champak Bannerji's next, tentatively titled JUDGEMENT-THE FINAL VERDICT. According to Champak Bannerji who has won the Best Short Film Award of Shrishti Chakra at the last Goa Film Festival for his engrossing film on Global Warming:" Shahrukh Khan was mighty pleased with the script. Sameer Dharmadhakiri plays the role of Jyotiba Rao Phule, husband of Savitribai who was the first Indian woman teacher from Maharashtra and who created a revolution for women's emancipation. The film is being written,produced and directed by S.K. Julia Roberts plays an Evil Witch We have seen Julia Roberts play diverse characters with utmost versatility so far and the Pretty Woman has huge fan following all over the world. And now Julia would be seen in a never seen before avatar of an Evil witch. She competes with her own step-daughter in the movie ‘Mirror Mirror’ which is made on one of the most loved fairytales of all times- ‘Snow-white and the Seven Dwarfs’. Quite interestingly Julia is all set to show her villainous streak in the film. Since the Evil Witch’s character had to be played by someone extraordinarily beautiful, Roberts seemed to be the perfect choice for the role. New York Evening with Love Lies and Seeta: a film by Chandra Pemmaraju

Love Lies and Seeta, this is the title of the indian - American independent urban romantic film that was screened this week in New York.  Made with a limited budget, the movie is refreshingly different and has a certain style and freshness in terms of its treatment, acting, locations, music, cinematography - this low budget indie, which has the look and feel of a studio production, was screened as a closing night film at IIFF, 2012 in Florida, won a Honorary mention award at a LA film festival and was also screened at Film Bazaar in Goa as a part of IFFI 2011 in India.

The movie was screened as a part of New Filmmakers Spring Festival - at the prestigious Anthology Film Archives theater. New Filmmakers is one of the longest festival screening series in LA and NY, and have the distinction of screening various indie fims, documentaries, short films, animation films since 1998 to their credit.

The talent from the film, most of them New York based, Indian and American actors, have done a commendable job in bringing the characters to life, and the way New York has been captured is some thing visually should be experienced.

The cast and crew of the film were in attendance and there was a reception where the audience got to interact with the cast and understand how it was to be a part of the film that is made in 28 days, shot in 52 locations during a summer in New York.

The story follows the story of three young guys during a New York summer, who at different stages in their life have met beautiful Seeta and fall in love with her. What happens next forms the story that revolves around the three guys, Seeta, her friends during a New York Summer, all told in a humorous and entertaining way. The music from the film which features ensemble musicians from New York to India is another interesting thing that makes the movie stand out from the regular fare. All is all it was a fun evening where New Yorkers got to spend a evening with Seeta and her friends.

The movie features Melanie Kannokada (former miss India USA) as Seeta, Michael Derek, Arjun Gupta, Lavrenti Lopes, Franziska Huber, Aaron Katter, Rob Byrnes, Daniel Wilksinson, Leah kavita, Carolyn Korale and Ryan Vigilant and is written, produced and directed by investment banker turned Indian born, US based filmmaker, Chandra Pemmaraju. Look out for the film when it is playing at a festival or theater close to you.

While shooting the song saroj said ,i didnt get a proper studio finally
zeroed down to SJ studio ,as it required a certain set up  ,art director
had 3 days in hand and the studio was getting ready ,so art team had a
challenge to create the set in just three days and Saroj says this song is
very close to my heart and i just wanted it perfect but the team was great
to give me the set the way i wanted and barkha is a delight and the song is
already creating waves

SAREGAMA launches Ustad Shujaat Khan’s son Azaan Khan’s debut album : “Philo – sufi”

Saregama and Ustaad Shujaat Khan had unveiled singer Azaan Khan’s debut album “Philo – sufi” – a series of contemporary sufi tracks, along with the enchanting and soothing live performance by the debut artist himself on 30thMarch’12 at Florian, 3rd Floor, MGF Metropolitan Mall, Saket New Delhi. The crowd was adressed by Ustad Shujaat Khan.

About Azaan Khan -

Azaan Khan comes from an illustrious background of Indian classical musicians; he is the son of Ustad Shujaat Khan and the grandson of late Ustaad Vilayat Khan.

He has an innate sense of rhythm and melody and his knowledge of both hindustani classical and western music, coupled with his ability to write his own lyrics, compose his own songs, sing,  as well as play instruments such as the guitar, the piano and steel drums, makes Azaan the multi –  faceted musician that he is today.

Upon finishing this course, he went to Bombay, where he spent the next year interning under the popular bollywood composer duo of Salim Suleman, and continued to gain experience in more fields of music such as background scoring and sound recording and engineering. It was during this year in Bombay, when he was noticed by the popular record label SA RE GA MA, who signed him on to their label as the artist for today’s youth, making music that breaks all forms of traditionality and gives birth to a whole different sounds cape. With his new album titled “Azaan Khan – PhiloSufi”, Azaan wishes to reach the younger generation of the country, with his eclectic blend of sufi lyrics and tunes with genres like dub step, drum and bass, and contemporary jazz. Azaan speaking about his new album, says, “I wanted to write music that people and the youth of today could connect to, whilst still keeping my traditional roots strongly grounded. I know there is a lot of bollywood music that is light and enjoyable, but I wanted to create songs that people could listen to, and relate to with a particular time or event in their life, and in the process, hopefully, i can create a strong bond between all the listeners and my music.”

Saregama and Ustaad Shujaat Khan had unveiled singer Azaan Khan’s debut album “Philo – sufi” – a series of contemporary sufi tracks, along with the enchanting and soothing live performance by the debut artist himself on 30thMarch’12 at Florian, 3rd Floor, MGF Metropolitan Mall, Saket New Delhi. The crowd was adressed by Ustad Shujaat Khan.  The album was unveiled by Javed Akhtar Saab, the guests at the event included names like Ustad Amjad Ali Khan,  Aman and Ayaan Ali Khan, world renowned Kuchipudi  dancing couple,  Dr. Raja and  Kaushalya Reddy,  ace  painter and artiste Jatin Das, Vesna Jacob, Nilofer Currimbhoy, Shahnaz Hussain,  Nisha Singh, Dinesh Trivedi to name a few…………..  About Azaan Khan - Azaan Khan comes from an illustrious background of Indian classical musicians; he is the son of Ustad Shujaat Khan and the grandson of late Ustaad Vilayat Khan.  He has an innate sense of rhythm and melody and his knowledge of both hindustani classical and western music, coupled with his ability to write his own lyrics, compose his own songs, sing,  as well as play instruments such as the guitar, the piano and steel drums, makes Azaan the multi –  faceted musician that he is today. After his schooling and college from Delhi University, Azaan was chosen to join KMMC, A.R Rehmans music conservatory, to learn under a host of distinguished teachers in subjects varying from hindustani and western classical vocals, to music theory and music history.
